🆕 NPG: This Week’s Hot New Sips

FriYAY! It’s our favorite day of the week and not just because we drop our weekly new products gallery – giving you a taste of the newest innovations hitting the market. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:

🧃 Capitalizing on the growing consumer demand for premium juices, Ocean Spray unveils its new Revl Fruits brand. Available in four flavors – Boldly Cran, Tart Cherry, Berry Wild and Truly Tropical – the product is crafted with 100% juice and a splash of coconut water and contains no added sugar.

🍇 C4 teams up with Popsicle to craft nostalgia-inducing limited edition energy drinks in Popsicle Cherry, Popsicle Grape, Popsicle Hawaiian Pineapple and Orange Creamsicle varieties. All four flavors are powered by 200mg of caffeine and contain CarnoSyn to fuel performance.

🌱 Mortal Kombucha moves its products from glass bottles to 16 oz. aluminum bottles in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint. According to a press release, the packaging “revolution” was made possible by the brand’s partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market.

🎩 LVMH’ s Cognac Sales Continue to Slow

🎩 LVMH’ s Cognac Sales Continue to Slow

The world’s largest luxury company recorded positive growth last year – except for in wine and spirits sales.

📉 Revenue from the spirits and cognac segment of LVMH fell 10% in 2023, as demand for cognac still suffers after getting a big bump during the pandemic. The news comes as no surprise as major cognac brands have struggled to compete with the rise of tequila and whiskey’s luxury segments.

💰 Consumers at bars and restaurants across the U.S. are also spending less on cognac, according to on-premise ordering data from Union released this week. But Hennessy is leading the pack in terms of sales at Union venues, and taking share from all other cognac brands— although much of that growth is coming from pricing drops.

🏀 Absence of Proof Hits the Hardwood

Non-alcoholic consultancy, event promoter and online distributor Absence of Proof knows how to throw a good sober celebration and it is bringing the party to Detroit. With its first NBA partnership, Absence of Proof announced it will be collaborating on a NA activation and panel discussion at Little Caesars Arena.

🥃 The event will be held before the Feb. 2 Pistons’ game and will include a custom menu of NA cocktails in partnership with TOST Beverages.

⚾ Absence of Proof partnered over the summer with the New York Mets in a similar activation that led to the company helping curate a set NA menu at multiple bars at Citi Field in Queens.

🤩 During a packed Dry January, CEO Elizabeth Gascoigne is a mainstay of the sober-curious community and has become an ambassador for the category partnering with NA drink makers, distributors and platforms to bring awareness (and fun) to the no- and low- lifestyle.

Watch & Listen: Gascoigne joined other female founders to talk about women fueling category growth in zero-proof beverages.
