| 🚨 What You're Missing 🚨 | | | 📝 Trade Show Snacks | | | | The Nosh team has been out and about the past week and we’ve returned with plenty of notes from the field on the direction of early stage innovation. Today’s newsletter offers a digest on the latest updates... We’ll start out in Chicago where the National Association of Convenience Stores show made a clear case that high-protein nutrition bars are here to stay. That being said, NACS exhibitors showed there are more functional spots to lean in, like creatine, which is quickly becoming the new “it” ingredient for health-conscious consumers. Insiders can access the full story. |
| | | Global flavors, heritage-inspired foods and “Female Rage” fueled Union Kitchen’s Meet the Makers event this past Sunday, drawing in nearly 100 vendors to sample in an open air space abutting one of the funder and accelerator’s 10 stores in Washington, D.C. Insiders can access the full report. |
| | ✨ Nosh Live 2025 | | | At Nosh Live on Dec. 4+5 in L.A., operators, investors, and brand builders will cut through the noise to talk about what’s actually working (and what’s not) in packaged food today. From managing shelf economics to building sustainable growth in a cost-crunched market, the sessions are candid, specific, and shaped by firsthand experience. You’ll leave with ideas you can apply and a sharper read on where things are headed in 2026. On stage this December: - Winning in Walmart – Katie Wilson (BelliWelli) and Kristin Piper (Walmart U.S.) share how brands can win at mass retail while staying true to their mission. Learn what Walmart’s wellness shopper wants and how to build a scalable channel strategy.
- Building a Breakthrough Brand – Hailey Swartz (Actual Veggies), Laurel Orley (Daily Crunch), and Eugene Kang (Archer) reveal the pivotal moves that fueled their growth — from standing out on shelf to sustaining momentum after launch.
- Beating Uncertainty with Experience – Jeni Britton (Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams & Floura) shares how she’s approaching leadership, risk in a shifting market, and what she’s doing differently the second time around.

| | | | | [Source: NBC, Saturday Night Live] | Here at Nosh we truly believe both snacks and podcasts are absolutely fire. But a Saturday Night Live spot, dubbed Snack Homies, this week has us feeling a little bit “unc” (translation: old… we think). For all the rizz we bring to CPG, not much could have prepared us for the absolute roast of this podcast chat “about snacks with your homies” – something we do over here multiple times a week on Taste Radio and CPG Week. The full sketch has us feeling particularly chopped… like all the GOATed vegetables the Homies yapped about after dishing on the Best Halloween Candy. By the time Donald Trump joined the bit, we’d entirely lost the plot, fam. Like literally – all this lingo has us feeling a bit cooked. |
