Everybody has a reason to feel stressed right now, just read the news (...on BevNET, of course 😉) So it’s no wonder the mood-boosting and relaxation beverage category is continuing to surge.

  • Back in January, GlobalData called “Mood Maintenance” a key consumer trend for 2025, with 82% of Gen Z and 84% of Millennials stating relaxation and mood boosting ingredients were “essential/nice to have” in their food and drinks.
  • Meanwhile, adult NA sales have been growing by mid-double-digits, while energy and functional soda have also been among the strongest performing beverage categories in recent years.
  • Consumers, it seems, are eager to feel something (well something other than like crap after a night of hard drinking).

HappyPop is the latest to emphasize mood and relaxation, but with 100mg of caffeine in each 8.4 oz. can, its energy-positioning also helps to set it apart from the adult non-alc segment.

Insiders can access the full story to understand the brand’s latest gains in this growing set.
