| 📰 Big Today In Beverage | | | | The sky is the limit for protein drinks these days. As we recently tracked, at least in c-stores, protein and energy products continue to be top-sellers. But it's not just RTD shakes driving more muscle mass into the beverage industry: Canned coffee has become a prime place for energizing and protein-maxxing. Canadian protein coffee brand Brüst has spent the last eight years establishing a footprint in its home country, securing distribution in nearly all major retailers in Canada, from Loblaws and Costco to Whole Foods. After its acquisition last year by private equity firm Clearstone Capital, Brüst is entering the U.S. with deals already lined up in mass, grocery, club and convenience channels.
