😎 Best Day Brewing NA Beer Brand Chasing 20k Barrels in Year 2

😎 Best Day Brewing NA Beer Brand Chasing 20k Barrels in Year 2

Non-alcoholic beer brand Best Day Brewing is chasing a Year 2 milestone, producing between 15,000 and 20,000 barrels of beer, founder and CEO Tate Huffard told Brewbound.

Huffard launched Best Day last year after more than four years of developing the brand. The company opened with three offerings – Kolsch, Hazy IPA and West Coast IPA – which are contract brewed at Octopi Brewing in Wisconsin.

Year-to-date through July 16, off-premise sales of non-alcoholic beer are up +31.4%, to nearly $191.5 million, while case sales are up +19.5%, according to market research firm Circana.

Huffard acknowledges that Best Day is a small brand in an increasingly crowded segment. Heineken, Athletic Brewing, Lagunitas, Partake and Guinness have each established themselves in the market already, while craft heavyweight Sierra Nevada plans to begin shipping its first two NA beers – Trail Pass IPA and Golden – in late November.

🥃 Brown-Forman RTD Director: ‘If The Liquid is Not Good, They’re Not Coming Back’

🥃 Brown-Forman RTD Director: ‘If The Liquid is Not Good, They’re Not Coming Back’

This year, Brown-Forman and Coca-Cola brought two of the biggest names in beverage together for a Jack & Coke RTD. What’s next for the popular canned barcall?

The RTD rolled out in the U.S. in March, after debuting in Mexico last fall. The innovation is now focused on quick packaging wins.

The opportunity to “talk to new consumers” was the driver for a Coca-Cola partnership. But will the RTD bring new drinkers into the Jack Daniel’s family of brands?

BevNET spirits editor Ferron Salniker chatted with Brown-Forman’s RTD director about why the company has leaned in on Jack Daniel’s brand equity and partnerships with beer and soft drink companies, over building or acquiring RTD brands.

🍻 Fox Tale and Enterprise Brewing Release Solidarity Ale Supporting Anchor Workers

🍻 Fox Tale and Enterprise Brewing Release Solidarity Ale Supporting Anchor Workers

Fox Tale Fermentation Project and Enterprise Brewing have partnered with workers from Anchor Brewing to release Solidarity Ale, a steam beer – or California common ale – with 100% of proceeds going to the workers’ fund to buy the San Francisco craft brewery.

Anchor’s union announced the partnership August 1 on social media.

From Anchor Union’s Instagram post: “We hope that Solidarity Ale is a beer and a mission that is going to bring the local craft beer community closer and allow breweries to help support the workers of Anchor who have gave their blood, sweat and tears to keep this tradition alive.”

The beer will launch at Enterprise’s San Francisco taproom Saturday, followed by Fox Tale over Labor Day weekend.

Anchor workers are also working to get the beer brewed at other breweries, with a third partnership announced Tuesday with Mad Pursuit Brewing in Hollister, California.

Anchor’s union encouraged others to “talk to your local brewery” about brewing the beer and expanding its footprint. The beer is only available on-premise, as the group has “no facility to package yet,” the union wrote on Twitter.
