Peter Rahal’s new protein bar startup just raked in $10 million in seed funding (mostly from Rahal himself), but the product remains a bit of a mystery. 

Here’s what we know about David so far: The initial offering contains 28 grams of protein, 150 calories and 0 grams of sugar. It has no gluten or artificial sweeteners or flavors. The product itself is slated to launch this fall.

What’s it made from? “Stay tuned,” Rahal commented on LinkedIn. What kind of protein? Rahal: “Some plants, but not plant-based.”

Japanese barbecue sauce producer Bachan’s announced today it has expanded beyond its flagship product for the first time with the launch of Japanese Dipping Sauces in Original and Sweet & Spicy flavors. 

🥟 The sauces are made with a base of stone-ground sesame, white miso and ginger for a “bold,” “fresh” and “thicker, velvety consistency designed for dipping.”

📈 The new line is available exclusively at Whole Foods for $9.99 per 16 oz. bottle. Bachan’s core line is currently available at over 25,000 stores nationwide including Costco, Walmart, Target and Kroger.
