| | | 📰 Big Today In Beverage | | | | Rapper Wiz Khalifa may be making a late entry into the hemp-THC drinks party, but it comes with a killer recipe. The weed-loving Pittsburgh native is launching Khalifa Kush & Orange Juice as an expansion of his budding (pun intended) cannabis portfolio– and he’s enlisted Atlanta-based Scofflaw Brewing to help. The result is a citrus-forward, user-friendly release that “sets the foundation for long-term innovation,” in the words of Scofflaw’s Brent Albin. Wiz is the latest in a growing line of entertainment figures trying their hand at hemp-THC drinks while there’s still time. Along with fellow rappers like Snoop Dogg and Curren$y, there’s Seth Rogen’s Houseplant, Allen Iverson’s drink line and Willie Nelson’s runaway hit partnership with Juneshine. Even celebrity backing can’t counteract the forthcoming hemp ban at the end of this year, but Khalifa Kush says they have a plan in place for when that happens.
