Diaspora Spice Co. unveiled one of its most high-profile collaborations to-date this month as the business, with a portfolio of Indian- and Sri Lankan-sourced products, works to mitigate the impact of 50% import tariffs on its business, which went into effect in August. 

The latest launch, a spice blend known as Gunpowder Podi, was created in collaboration with cookbook author and former “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi. That direct exposure to Lakshmi’s audience comes at an important moment for Diaspora.

🍖 Chomps Partners On Another New Facility

Consumer demand for meat sticks is driving a manufacturing boom, and Chomps is at the forefront. The meat stick maker is partnering with one of its co-manufacturing partners, Landmark Snacks, on a new 160,000 sq. ft. production center in Beatrice, Neb., expected to open in Q2 2027.
