| 📰 First Up In Food | | | | The Nosh team is on the ground in Anaheim, Calif., gobbling up all of the seed oil-free snacks and pickle-flavored products we can get our hands on at Natural Products Expo West (spoiler: it’s a lot!). Before we head to the convention center for another full day of biting and writing, here’s a taste of what we’ve seen so far: Beef tallow is having a big, greasy moment. The growing backlash against processed seed oils has fueled a resurgence in traditional cooking fats. Fatworks, a family-owned operation in Colorado and longtime defender of rendered fat, has been waiting for this for well over a decade. Elsewhere at the show, chickpea pasta pioneer Banza is stepping outside the gluten-free aisle for the first time in 12 years.
