| | | The 44th annual GABF kicks off tomorrow, but this year’s iteration will look nothing like any of its priors. The BA has shifted the gathering outdoors to Denver’s Levitt Pavilion, ending a 25-year run at the Colorado Convention Center. With a forecast that includes temperatures near 80 degrees and no rain in sight, it seems as though Mother Nature is a fan of the new GABF. This weekend will show if drinkers and brewers agree. 📸 Brewbound managing editor Jess Infante is on route to the event now to get all the details – keep up to date on Instagram via @BrewboundJess. | | Bill Murray has never worked for a brewer or a beer distributor (that we know of), but employees of both have probably identified with Phil Connors, the character he played in Groundhog Day who was forced to relive the same day over and over. Tech firm Groundhog thinks it has eliminated the recurring sameness of the annual business plan (ABP) process with collaborative software that ensures brewers and distributors are aligned and able to follow through on objectives. On the latest edition of the Brewbound Podcast, founders Chris Russell and Eric Rabinovitz share the pain points they’re trying to solve and how they plan to streamline the process to avoid that Groundhog Day feeling when brands and distributors meet months later.
