Nearly every day, news of another CPG brand collaboration seemingly lands in my inbox. Some of these are from prolific brand collaborators (read: Graza, Fly By Jing, Fishwife and more), but there are also plenty of first-timers dabbling in the practice and others who have taken pretty unique approaches. Either way, it seems that collabs are an in-vogue growth strategy for 2025 and beyond. 

I’ve often wondered why these entrepreneurs chose to add an effort like this to their already overstuffed to-do lists. When I’ve asked them, their reasons are myriad: brand awareness, growing beyond their core audience, finding like-minded industry peers, even a simple - “we like them, so why not?”
